Program Summary

The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) sustains the Armys mission to develop acquire field and sustain ground combat tactical and support systems throughout their lifecycle. The program focuses on ensuring operational readiness reliability and safety of automotive and ground support equipment critical to Army operations.

Under this contract personnel provide maintenance repair overhaul and sustainment support in accordance with Army technical manuals safety standards and performance requirements.

Job Summary

The General Maintenance Worker (MVO) performs a variety of general maintenance repair and support tasks related to facilities equipment and operational areas. This role also operates motor vehicles to transport personnel tools and materials as needed to support maintenance and logistics activities. The maintenance employee will be responsible for conducting basic carpentry plumbing electrical and mechanical repairs as assigned.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks including minor repairs to facilities equipment and infrastructure
• Assist with preventive maintenance and upkeep of buildings work sites and equipment
• Operate motor vehicles to transport materials tools equipment and personnel
• Load unload and move materials to support maintenance and logistics operations
• Perform inspections of work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain tools equipment and vehicles in proper working condition
• Follow all safety environmental and operational procedures
• Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and vehicle use as required
• Support facility upkeep including cleaning painting and general labor tasks
• Coordinate with supervisors and maintenance personnel on work assignments
• Support inspections audits and government reviews as required

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; supplemental technical or vocational training preferred
• Typically 2-4 years of experience in general maintenance facilities support or related work
• Valid drivers license and ability to operate government or commercial vehicles
• Basic knowledge of maintenance trades (carpentry plumbing electrical mechanical)
• Ability to perform general labor and maintenance tasks in a safe and effective manner
• Ability to follow instructions procedures and safety standards
• Ability to perform work in physically demanding environments
• Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (as required)
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting DoD Army or TACOM programs
• Experience operating light or mediumduty trucks and utility vehicles
• Familiarity with facility maintenance and repair processes in industrial environments
• Commercial Drivers License (CDL) or additional vehicle operation certifications (if applicable)
• Prior government contracting experience

The salary range for this position is $50000 - $74900. Compensation offered will depend on qualifications experience work location and business considerations. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. Additional compensation and benefits may be available based on role eligibility.

Additional Information

This position will be a part of a physical work environment that requires standing walking and lifting. There is potential exposure to machinery tools fuels oils and outdoor conditions. Employees may also be required to work shifts overtime or weekend support based on mission needs.
