Systems Engineer – Senior (TSSCI with Poly)

Peraton is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support mission-critical Cloud Network Operations. A candidate that possesses a strong SystemsEngineering background supporting activities involving latest technology in support of Cloud Network Operations. Duties will include reviewing all requirements submitted by the customers and performing end-to-end systems engineering and identify new requirements to achieve mission needs.

Candidate should have experience in the design and implementation of data addition network architectural design implementation and integration of new systems. Candidate should have knowledge/understanding and experience in network management protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Working with engineering and network teams to provide customer requirements.
• Designing and configuring the network and monitoring & maintaining the network.
• Providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
• Providing specific detailed information for hardware selection implementation of techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet mission needs including present and future capacity requirements.
• Experience/Expertise in all areas of network hardware and interconnection and interfacing such as routers multiplexers firewalls hubs bridges gateways etc.
• Designing and implementing failover solution for major customers.
• Providing specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing VPNs firewall contexts and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate.

Basic Qualifications:

• Fourteen (14) years experience as a NE/SE in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity is required.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
• Bachelors degree in Network Engineering System Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering Science Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Five (5) years of additional NA/SE experience may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph required.
• Experience with Appliances (ASA) Cisco Nexus 9ks as well as Cisco 2960-XR Layer 2 switches.
• Knowledge of CISCO 6500 series Catalyst configuration switchesASRinstall GRE tunnels MPLS and conduct redundancy test on multiples CISCO series network equipment.
