Position Overview

Securitas is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Systems Engineer 2 to join our team in Plano TX. This position plays a critical role in supporting maintaining and optimizing security technology systems while ensuring reliable performance and exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical aptitude excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can effectively troubleshoot system issues support ongoing projects and collaborate with customers vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install configure maintain and troubleshoot physical security and technology systems.
• Support access control video surveillance intrusion detection and related security platforms.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware software network and system-related issues.
• Coordinate service activities with clients vendors and internal teams.
• Perform system testing upgrades updates and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain accurate documentation system records and service reports.
• Assist with project implementation commissioning and system integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with company standards client requirements and industry best practices.
• Provide technical support and guidance to end users and stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call support or after-hours activities when required.

Qualifications

Required

• Associate degree in Information Technology Engineering Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience supporting technology security networking or electronic systems.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic network infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

Preferred

• Experience with access control video management CCTV or physical security systems.
• Knowledge of IP networking concepts including TCP/IP switches routers and network troubleshooting.
• Industry certifications or manufacturer certifications are a plus.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical support role.
