Location: Austin TX 78744 Pay Rate: $58-68/hr Experience: 3-6 years
About the Role
Join a dynamic IT team as a Systems Analyst I focused on Vulnerability Remediation and Change Coordination. This role is pivotal to our organization s security posture ensuring timely and compliant resolution of server vulnerabilities outside standard patch cycles. You will act as the main liaison between Cyber Security Server Operations and Change Management leveraging ServiceNow to drive vulnerability remediation from assignment to closure. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and track vulnerability remediation assignments using ServiceNow IT Remediation Workspace
- Triage and manage high-risk emergency or exception-based vulnerabilities across Windows Linux and Citrix server platforms
- Serve as the central point of contact among Server Operations Security (CSOC) and other teams throughout the remediation lifecycle
- Prepare document and present remediation changes to the Change Advisory Board (CAB) clearly communicating risk impact and mitigation plans
- Ensure accurate documentation and audit-ready records for all remediation tasks change requests and configuration items within ServiceNow
- Sequence remediation activities and coordinate efforts across multiple support teams and platforms
- Maintain comprehensive tracking of vulnerabilities change approvals implementation status and closure evidence for audit and compliance reporting
- Identify and recommend improvements to vulnerability remediation and change management workflows
Required Skills and Experience
- 3 years coordinating server vulnerability remediation in an enterprise environment
- Proven hands-on experience with ServiceNow (Change Management IT Remediation Workspace)
- In-depth understanding of change management processes and CAB presentation
- Practical knowledge of Windows Server Linux Server (RHEL) and Citrix environments
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple simultaneous remediation efforts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective cross-team and CAB coordination
Preferred Skills
- Experience with vulnerability remediation in government regulated or large enterprise environments
- Familiarity with workflows involving CSOC Infrastructure and Application teams
- Background in coordinating emergency or out-of-band remediation efforts
- Exposure to audit compliance or security evidence collection related to vulnerability remediation
- Record of timely remediation for high-risk vulnerabilities and maintaining auditable tracking
- Experience producing high-quality CAB-approved change records with complete documentation
