Position Overview

Client is seeking an experienced Systems Analyst 3 to serve as a Snowflake Administrator supporting enterprise data platform initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in Snowflake administration security governance identity and access management AI enablement and data pipeline support within large-scale environments.

This role requires a highly skilled professional capable of optimizing Snowflake operations while ensuring secure scalable and cost-effective data platform performance. The selected consultant will collaborate closely with data engineers analysts and AI teams to support advanced analytics and emerging AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the enterprise Snowflake environment.
  • Design implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) and data governance frameworks.
  • Integrate Snowflake with enterprise identity providers including Okta and SailPoint utilizing Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities.
  • Enable support and govern Snowflake Cortex AI functionalities and related monitoring activities.
  • Develop and maintain user provisioning processes aligned with enterprise IAM standards.
  • Build and support data transformation workflows using DBT.
  • Integrate Snowflake with Openflow or comparable workflow orchestration platforms.
  • Monitor warehouse utilization optimize query performance and manage platform costs.
  • Implement security controls including encryption dynamic data masking auditing and compliance monitoring.
  • Develop automation scripts for administrative monitoring and maintenance functions.
  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to support enterprise reporting AI and data initiatives.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend technical solutions to improve existing systems and processes.
  • Prepare detailed documentation including functional specifications technical requirements and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must possess 8 or more years of experience and demonstrate the ability to work independently on highly complex assignments.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

  • 8 years administering Snowflake platforms in a DBA/Administrator capacity.
  • 8 years implementing RBAC and enterprise data access governance.
  • 8 years of experience integrating SSO solutions such as Okta and SailPoint.
  • 8 years enabling and supporting Snowflake Cortex AI capabilities including governance and monitoring.
  • 8 years designing and managing Snowflake roles privileges and user provisioning processes.
  • 8 years building and supporting data pipelines and transformations using DBT.
  • 8 years integrating Snowflake with Openflow or similar orchestration tools.
  • 8 years monitoring and optimizing warehouse performance query execution and platform costs.
  • 8 years implementing security controls including encryption masking and audit monitoring.
  • 8 years developing automation scripts for Snowflake administration and maintenance.
  • 8 years collaborating with cross-functional teams supporting analytics and data initiatives.
  • 4 years of experience implementing DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.
  • 3 years integrating Openflow or comparable workflow orchestration solutions.
  • 3 years working within public sector healthcare or highly regulated environments.
