Job Summary
Summary:The Systems Administrator is responsible for local designing organizing modifying installing and supporting the computer and phone network systems in accordance with AIT corporate and Responsibilities: Install and support LANs WANs IP phone network segments Internet and intranet and maintain network hardware and individual machines such as drivers and settings configuration of authentication and authorization of directory integrity of the network server deployment and the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability verify and manage Backup Data systems and processes as required by AIT Corporate for enhanced functionality and security issue have the ability to solve technical and operation problems showing a high level of customer service and project management to and resolve help desk to respond to help desk requests after hours when needed. Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter. Administrate infrastructure databases malware protection software and other for work afterhours holidays and weekends to support company other duties as and Work Experience:Degree in a related field 8570 level I (or higher) security certification (examples: CCNA CND Cloud Security CE); OR can obtain the certification within 6 months of start of five years of system administration experience including current Windows Server versionsSystem administration and IT certifications Microsoft CompTIA and Cisco are a plusStrong knowledge of virtualization VMWare or equivalentWorking knowledge of systems and networking software hardware and networking protocolsExperience with scripting and automation toolsStrong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices including expert knowledge of storage data protection and disaster recovery protocolsWorking knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security and support third party IT vendor/supplier Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:This position requires a government security clearance. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this work that includes moving objects up to 50 about on foot to accomplish tasks particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to pinching typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in periods sitting at a desk and working on a periods working on feet using tools and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and motions that may include the wrists hands and/or fingers.
