Through innovation and dedication team members work collaboratively and strive to deliver the best product that Apple is known this role as a key technical contributor you will lead and cross-functionally represent the definition and execution of manufacturing tests in Apples future consumer product lines and set the benchmark for the quality associated with Apple products. Primary job focus is to help identify system-level hardware design issues. In this role you will be working with the cross functional team to architect and coordinate definition of a test suite targeted for hardware qualification by way of deep diving into the hardware architecture and analyzing metrics reported by these tests.
Help drive the design and bring up of manufacturing software/drivers/diagnostics software for new hardware define the functional stability and performance tests for various aspects of HW/SW interactionsnScoping the development and dependencies of drivers applications protocols frameworks and command line utilities for validation of hardware internally and in manufacturingnOwn End to End system validation of various NPI productsnEnable test strategies for new components in upcoming productsnCreating tools/scripts to help with data analysis effortsnPerform data analysis from hardware builds to enable feedback to test definition hardware design and identify hardware coverage gaps that can affect manufacturing qualitynSupporting new product development builds locally in US and at vendor locationsnProviding coordination and leadership around debugging issues seen in the test suitenDriving and enabling process improvementsnCommunicate status to the executive management on a regular basis
10 yrs with BS Electrical/Computer Engineering or relevant work experience nStrong understanding of embedded hardware components and hardware/software interactionsnStrong background in computer architecture bus technologies (such as I2C SPI) and I/O protocols (such as PCIe USB)nPrior experience with embedded software development is highly desirednScripting and programming skills in C/C Python
10yrs with MS Electrical/Computer Engineering nKnowledge of validation of functional and stability aspects of SoC interaction with OS SWnAbility to triage problems prioritize accordingly and propose a resolutionnThrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while expertly driving multiple projects across many teamsnManufacturing experience and prior exposure to working with contract manufacturers is highly desirednObsessively passionate and inquisitive and seeks to solve everyday problems in innovative waysnEngineering experience: 2-5 years Leadership/Technical Program Management experience with strong communication skills: 2-3 years
