Job Summary

This position is responsible for the system level design of the ACS (Air-Conditioning Service) products. This will include the high level design documentation for electro-mechanical systems and components including interactions between the software hardware and mechanical components such as motors sensors switches and controls.  The candidate will work closely with a cross functional team to deliver products on-time on-spec and on-budget.  To be successful the candidate must be innovative creative detail oriented comfortable working from a vision and comfortable working in a fast-pace environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously

 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Conceptualize and document system level architecture design of the AC service products.
  • Create system level design documentation.
  • Coordinate testing and documentation required to achieve and maintain product certifications (UL CE etc.)
  • Create test plans and reports to validate design concepts.
  • Troubleshoot problems to assist with manufacturing or reduce warranty costs.
  • Team leadership - lead the project team to be creative accurate detailed and professional.
  • Perform design analysis and FMEAs on system designs to assure form fit function and safety.
  • Maintain project documentation i.e. design reviews FMEAs design specifications wiring diagrams test plans etc.
  • Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communicating with the Customer Cross Functional Teams and the entire organization.
  • Takes full responsibility for providing the customer (internal and external) with service and products (documentation prototypes etc.) that exceed customers expectations.

Qualifications :

  • Four year Engineering degree BSEE preferred
  • 3 years related experience preferred.
  • Proven design skills utilizing knowledge of similar product.
  • Proficiency in PC skills; Microsoft Office (Word Excel Visio etc) CAD experience (Solidworks) preferred Labview preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.  Experience working with global/international teams also highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with product certifications (UL) preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills with solid documentation skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects keeping accurate documentation and records
  • Ability to work well with challenging individuals and customers

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $99900 - $116000. Within the range individual pay is determined based on several factors including but not limited to work experience and job knowledge complexity of the role job location etc.
