SWISS Setup Machinist

Our client is seeking experienced SWISS Setup Machinists capable of independently setting up machines performing first-piece inspections verifying parts to print troubleshooting machining issues and supporting production teams. This is a precision medical device manufacturing environment. 1st 2nd and 3rd shift available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Independently set up Swiss CNC machines and perform complete machine changeovers

- Install tooling and fixtures set work and tool offsets

- Verify setup accuracy before production release

- Run first-piece inspections and approve jobs for production

- Troubleshoot setup and machining issues

- Support operators throughout production runs

- Read and interpret blueprints and verify tolerances and critical dimensions

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Independent machine setup experience (not operator-only)

- First-piece inspection experience

- Blueprint reading ability

- Offset and tooling adjustment experience

- CNC machining background

- Precision measurement experience

- Shift flexibility required confirm before submission

PREFERRED:

- Swiss machining experience (Citizen Star Tsugami)

- Medical device or aerospace manufacturing experience

- Multi-axis machining experience

- ISO 13485 experience
