The ideal candidate will ensure a safe engaging and educational environment for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Swim instructors are responsible for leading group private and semi-private lessons while promoting water safety and fostering a positive experience for participants and their families. WHAT YOU WILL DO:Deliver swim instruction and water safety education to individuals and groups in accordance with program a fun and educational swim lesson experienceFollow and enforce all facility rules and regulations to ensure a safe aquatics expectations and rules of the facility to exemplary customer service ensuring the best swim lesson experience for the participants and accurate and timely records including attendance progress evaluations and incident reports as strong communication and interpersonal skills with students parents and all training sessions and any additional staff meetings as YOU ARE:Required:Minimum age of 16 years oldAmerican Red Cross Water Safety Instructor CPR and First Aid certificationsStrong verbal and written communication and customer service skills Ability to engage positively with individuals across all age and enthusiasticSound knowledge of proper swimming techniques and water safety rulesAbility to perform and demonstrate in-water skills teaching assessmentPreferredAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard CertificationPHYSICAL SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds work environment may be fast-paced and requires high energy and interaction with others.
