Survey Instrument Operator

GFY is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator interested in joining an influential work environment. This position will assist the Crew Chief and operate instruments necessary while surveying to determine precise location and measurements of points elevations lines areas and contours for construction mapmaking land division titles mining or other purposes by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:

Operation of Electronic Data Collection equipment (Trimble preferred)

Operate contemporary survey instruments with little supervision or training

Duties may differ depending on the area or project

Perform a variety of routine tasks and work closely under supervision

Perform a variety of tasks in support of survey or engineering activities

Experience and Qualifications:

Valid drivers license and clean driving record

Willing to travel from time to time

Experience with Topographic Surveys Boundary Surveys Construction Layout & GPS Surveys

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Able to work outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions

High school diploma or an equivalent

Minimum 1-year experience
