Survey Crew Chief

We are growing our Survey team in Overland Park KS and looking for a Crew Chief to help lead whats next.

This role is for someone who is already leading in some capacity - running crews guiding field work helping solve problems. Not just doing the work but helping shape how its delivered and how the team grows.

What youll be doing:

Youll play a key role in delivering survey work from field to finish supporting crews staying close to projects and helping ensure things run smoothly across the board.

Along the way youll:

• Stay close to project performance (scope schedule budget)

• Lead daily field operations for land survey projects directing crew members in the collection of accurate field data for boundary topographic construction and as-built surveys.

• Perform field calculations establish and check horizontal and vertical control and ensure proper reference to known benchmarks.

• Oversee and train field technicians promoting safe efficient and high-quality work practices.

• Conduct field QC reviews to confirm completeness and accuracy of collected data.

• Document site conditions photos and any field changes or discrepancies that could impact project deliverables.

What Were Looking For

• Experience leading survey crews or coordinating field work

• A few years of experience in land surveying (crew chief party chief or similar)

• Comfort working across field and office environments

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
