Job Title: Surgical Technologist (OR Tech)
Location: Torrance CA
Type: Local or Travel Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift 4 x 10-Hour Shifts 40 Hours Per Week 6:45 AM 4:45 PM
Pay Rate:
Local: $30 - $35/hr
Travel: $38 - $41/hr Including Stipend (Based on Experience)

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist (OR Tech) for an exciting Local or Travel job in Torrance CA.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms for surgical procedures.

  • Ensure all surgical instruments equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.

  • Establish and maintain a sterile field throughout procedures.

  • Assist surgeons by passing instruments supplies and equipment during surgery.

  • Perform surgical counts and adhere to patient safety protocols.

  • Assemble and prepare case carts for scheduled procedures.

  • Scrub and assist in a variety of surgical specialties including laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.

  • Operate and assist with DaVinci Xi robotic systems and laparoscopic equipment.

  • Collaborate with surgeons nurses and anesthesia staff to ensure efficient workflow.

  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention standards and hospital policies.

  • Float to affiliated facilities as needed including Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center San Pedro.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Surgical Technologist experience.

  • Current BLS Certification.

  • Experience with Case Cart preparation and Scrubbing.

  • Experience with DaVinci Xi Robotic Surgery and Laparoscopic procedures.

  • Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and operating room procedures.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in an Acute Care Hospital setting.

  • Experience supporting multiple surgical specialties.

  • Previous experience with robotic-assisted and minimally invasive surgical procedures.
