Full Time I First Shift

Operating Room I Lexington KY

$15000 Sign on Bonus Available for Qualified Individuals.

Baptist Health Lexington Surgical Services Department encompasses several key areas: the Pre-Op Department 20 operating rooms with a business office staff responsible for scheduling a Postoperative Care Unit an Endoscopy Department with dedicated pre- and post-op areas and a Sterile Processing Department.

Description:

  • Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direction of the registered nurse. Performs scrub functions and other roles which support the perioperative plan of care Demonstrates knowledge of operative procedures.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and utilizes principles of aseptic technique including but not limited to gowning gloving sterilization and disinfection.

  • Actively participates in unit activities.

  • Ensures positive customer relations interactions.

  • On call weekends weeknights and holidays by rotation.

Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma; Associate degree.

  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program.

  • National Certification CST Certified Surgical Technologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified applicants must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
