Schedule: Day Shift Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. The Surgical Technician will assist surgeons and nursing staff by preparing sterile instruments and supplies maintaining aseptic technique supporting patient care activities and ensuring efficient operating room workflow throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields instruments and equipment for procedures
  • Assist surgeons during operations by anticipating instrument and supply needs
  • Maintain accurate counts of sponges needles and surgical instruments according to protocol
  • Support patient positioning transfers and operating room preparation
  • Ensure compliance with sterile technique infection prevention and patient safety standards
  • Assist with specimen handling dressing application and post-procedure cleanup
  • Support room turnover and preparation for subsequent surgical cases
  • Collaborate with surgeons nurses and perioperative staff to ensure efficient workflow
  • Monitor operating room supplies and equipment availability
  • Maintain organized and clean operating room environments
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of an accredited Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) training program required
  • Current CST Certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room Tech experience in a hospital setting required
  • Cardiac surgery experience required and must be clearly demonstrated on resume
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
  • Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-volume surgical environment
