OR Tech 2 (Tier 2) Shifts Available: (Shift Details will be explained during the interview process) General OR (Tech 2) Mixed Schedule (Rotating Weekends) 3 12-hour shifts General OR (Tech 2) Nights (Rotating Weekends) 3 12-hour shifts On Call Requirement: Must live within 30 min away from facility Side Note: OR Tech 2 are skilled experienced Techs who can handle most surgeries confidently but is not yet in a leadership or advanced Specialty role. Research Medical Center is a 585 bed hospital. Our hospital offers an array of medical and health clinic services. This includes womens services offering obstetrics and fertility an emergency room and a trauma center. We offer a Stroke Center a walk-in clinic and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations. Our specialty care areas include a Chest Pain Center Level I Trauma Center Breast Care Center Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs and Primary Stroke Center. Your responsibilities will include: Setting up and maintaining the surgical suite with instruments supplies and advanced equipment to ensure safe seamless procedures Assisting with patient transport positioning prepping and draping while prioritizing comfort privacy and safety Scrubbing in and partnering with the surgical team by providing instruments handling specimens and anticipating the teams needs Monitoring patients and surgical equipment throughout procedures responding promptly and effectively to any concerns Upholding sterile technique completing room turnover efficiently and supporting a high-performing collaborative team environment What qualifications you will need: Must have 1 years of OR Tech experience Tech II- In addition to meeting the requirements of an OR Tech I position must also be competent to perform as first scrub in three of the four following specialty areas: Robotic Total Joints Neuro/Spine and Vascular Surgery. Graduate of an accredited school of Certified Operating Room Technicians (CORT) Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required upon hire.
