Job Summary

Job Title :- Surgical Tech - Neuro

Location :- Peoria IL 61637

Shift :- 12 hour nights

Description:

# Suites: 4 OR.
Average # of cases per day: Approximately 200 Neuro surgeries a month.
Required Certifications: RN BLS.
Common Cases: Neurology Surgery - Spine Cranis.
Experience or Must have skills: Travelers must have 2 year experience with Neuro OR cases including spinal fusions and
craniotomies (will do more than spine and cranis so must be well rounded in all neuro cases). If they do not have this experience
will need to be redirected no exceptions.
Is there a Charge Nurse &/or House Supervisor on each shift Does the charge nurse take an assignment: Yes Charge available
Mon-Friday. Charge does not take a team/OR. Lead Supervisor/Charge for Neuro surgery. A Charge nurse present 24 hours a day. House supervisor 24/7.
OR techs: Yes.
EMR: EPIC Optime.
Shifts & Scheduling: 10 hour shifts 0700-1730. Call shifts 1530-0700. No Self scheduling.
Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes call. 1 - 2 night a week. 1730-0700.
Weekend/Call Requirements: Weekend Rotation Approximately 1 per month.
Holiday/Call Requirements: Yes
Additional Notes: 1 RN circulator per room and 1 RN/Scrub tech to scrub.
