Surgery Scheduling Specialist – Womens Care – Full Time, Days

Heres What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)

• Surgery Scheduling experience (strongly preferred)

• 2 Years related experience in Healthcare environment (preferred)

• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

• Requires strong customer skills

• Good communication skills

• Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

• A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Surgery Scheduling Specialist Process

• Schedules all inpatient and outpatient surgery and medical procedures tests and studies ordered by the physician

• Coordinates registers and schedule appointments for patients according to availability

• Conducts physician pre-certification to ensure coverage for appointments and medical care

• Ensures all required tests needed prior to surgery are done

• Coordinates and ensures necessary equipment is ordered room availability/scheduled pre-surgery medication etc. is arranged prior to scheduled procedure

• Schedules any necessary follow-up appointments

• Communicates and answers patients questions regarding surgery preparation instructions arrival/departure instructions relative to procedure

• Performs other duties as assigned
