Performs general clerical and reception duties according to the needs of the patient unit or department including entering information into computerized patient care system.

Maintains direct contact with patients of all ages except neonates families and visitors. The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy and patience in speaking with patients families and others to maintain sound public relations.

• High school diploma equivalent education (GED) or post-secondary education.
• Two (2) years of experience in a health care setting or customer service.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Visual color acuityscreening dependingon the role in specific units

• Demonstrated basic computer skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated Service excellence skills.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to type.
• Knowledge of PC Windows environment.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
