Job Summary

TITLE: Support Staff

PAY RATE: $17.00/hr for up to 14 hours per week

JOB CATEGORY: Classified

RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Manager Site Principal Site Coordinator and Academic Lead Teacher

JOB SUMMARY: Support Staff play an essential role in creating a safe welcoming and engaging environment for students during out-of-school time. Support Staff assist with daily program operations by helping supervise students supporting academic and enrichment activities maintaining positive student behavior and building encouraging relationships with students and families. This position works collaboratively with teachers site coordinators and school staff to ensure students have a structured positive and enjoyable learning experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of the school community preferred
  • Experience working effectively with children and adolescents
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and collaborate with others
  • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willingness to assist wherever needed to support program success

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

  • Create a welcoming and engaging environment that promotes student participation confidence positive behavior and a high-quality learning experience for all students
  • Assist with supervising students during program hours transitions meals and dismissal to help maintain a safe and structured environment
  • Support academic instruction and enrichment activities led by teachers through hands-on assistance and student engagement
  • Provide small-group and individual support to students as needed
  • Help prepare organize and clean up instructional materials activity spaces and program areas
  • Encourage consistent student attendance and help foster a sense of belonging and connection within the program
  • Assist with planning and facilitating family engagement events and activities
  • Attend required trainings meetings and professional development opportunities; complete all required
  • Submit accurate bi-weekly timesheets to the Site Coordinator
  • Work collaboratively with program staff to support the overall success of the after-school program

Required Experience:

Staff IC
