VDM Metals USA LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Trainee to join our Supply Chain team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations while supporting critical production and inventory processes.
Position Overview
As a Supply Chain Trainee you will play a key role in supporting production flow by issuing work orders and ensuring materials are processed according to customer and sales order requirements.
What Youll Do
Primary Responsibilities
- Issue work orders to support the conversion of billets into finished customer material in line with sales order requirements
Additional Responsibilities
- File completed production travelers
- Update and maintain inventory stock lists
- Perform data entry related to physical inventory counts
- Assist with general supply chain and administrative tasks
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management
What Were Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills & Experience
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform office-based and production support tasks
- Occasionally lift and carry items such as a case of paper
