Supply Chain Trainee

Location:Stead Area
Pay: $25.00 per hour

VDM Metals USA LLC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Trainee to join our Supply Chain team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing operations while supporting critical production and inventory processes.

As a Supply Chain Trainee you will play a key role in supporting production flow by issuing work orders and ensuring materials are processed according to customer and sales order requirements.

• Issue work orders to support the conversion of billets into finished customer material in line with sales order requirements

• File completed production travelers
• Update and maintain inventory stock lists
• Perform data entry related to physical inventory counts
• Assist with general supply chain and administrative tasks
• Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (required)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

• Ability to perform office-based and production support tasks
• Occasionally lift and carry items such as a case of paper
