Job Description:
This hands-on contract role supports the clients hardware operations team by assembling configuring and preparing sensor and gateway kits for deployment while contributing to process documentation and quality assurance.
Job Summary
Build configure and package sensor and gateway kits through hands-on hardware assembly and computer-based provisioning
Plug into sensors and gateways to configure and provision devices via computer
Revise and update standard operating procedures and existing documentation focusing on process efficiency and gap identification
Perform hands-on tasks including hardware assembly such as screwing in components and basic physical build steps
Prepare and ship completed kits to warehouse in support of an initial target build volume of 750 units by year-end
Track performance data and support inventory and logistics planning using Microsoft Word and Excel
Apply critical thinking during downtime to identify and recommend improvements to existing SOPs
Minimum Requirements:
Hands-on experience with basic hardware assembly including physical tasks such as screwing in components
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically Word and Excel and general Windows operating experience
Ability to write and revise procedural documentation and standard operating procedures
Basic understanding of networking concepts and hardware troubleshooting
Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to work independently in a variable-volume environment
Preferred Qualifications:
General networking or hardware experience beyond basic familiarity
Scripting experience preferably Python
Background in manufacturing trade school or equivalent hands-on technical environment
Experience with process optimization and identifying gaps in operational workflows
