Job Summary
Position Summary:
Responsible for assuring the continuous supply of direct and indirect material and services to support local and brand based goals. Minimize the total landed cost of material optimize companys cash flow through Strategic Sourcing Initiatives.
Principle Duties (includes but is not limited to):
Evaluates and acts upon the MRP requirements and Kanban levels for all direct material items. Generates and adjusts purchase orders to support production schedules. Effectively communicates areas of concern to appropriate departments individuals and/or suppliers. Inputs maintains and adjusts records or transactions to ensure system validity
Effectively communicates forecasted requirements to external suppliers
Maintains department MDI board driving improvements in SQDCG
Drives increased inventory turns and improved customer OTD by developing implementing and managing pull-based material replenishment processes including but not limited to Kanban cards vendor managed inventory and supplier consignments
Support resourcing and out-sourcing projects by proactively planning materials to ensure uninterrupted flow of product to customers as required
Working with Crane Supply Chain in the review development and creation of new and existing suppliers
Negotiating pricing by leveraging manufacturing techniques volume buys/blanket orders tooling vs machining etc.
Evaluating using catalogue and alternate parts to increase product rationalization and drive productivity improvements
Consistent with Cranes Operational Excellence focus participates in Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen events that will eliminate waste and result in significant benefits (Growth Safety Quality Delivery Cost) throughout the Supply Chain
Promotes a spirit of cooperation throughout the supply chain to insure responsiveness to the customer
- Participate in quality improvements as per IATFto ensure completed toll gates for DFMEA PFMEA Control Plans MSA and Process Capability studies for in house processes
Ensure requirements of relevant standards like ISO 9001-2015 etc. are being consistently met and improved.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
In progress of achieving bachelors degree in business Supply Chain Management or related field
Excellent analytical problem solving/decision making skills; ability to make timely effective fact-based decisions
Knowledgeable in Microsoft office suite software (e.g. Word Excel etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to perform and produce results in multifunctional teams in a dynamic work environment
Proven ability to develop collaborative relationships and influence up down and across organizational lines
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
Experience working with suppliers from low-cost regions (India China Eastern Europe Etc.)
Experience implementing lean concepts (Value Stream Mapping Kaizen Leadership 5S etc)
Knowledge and use of ERP systems
Knowledge of supplier performance management practices including supplier scorecards and performance metrics

Salary range: $25.00 hourly. Several factors contribute to actual salary including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities skills training and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
