Job Summary

The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for providing coordination communication data and schedule support for the Flow Marketing and Transport functions within Supply Chain Planning & Operations. This role supports the timely and accurate execution of daily supply chain activities by helping prepare schedules validate data communicate updates maintain documentation and support internal and external stakeholders. The Supply Chain Coordinator works closely with the Supply Planner and functional associates to support daily execution identify issues gather information communicate updates and develop the knowledge and judgment needed for future progression into other roles. This role participates in after-hours Supply Management & Logistics Emergency Hotline coverage.

Duties & Functions

  • Support Flow Marketing and Transport associates by preparing updating and distributing schedules reports plan summaries and communication materials needed for daily execution.
  • Coordinate released plans schedule updates logistical schedules and associated documentation across Flow Marketing and Transport teams to support the proper movement of pigs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to live haul movements animal movement schedules supply chain activities Health Certificates and Interstate Agreements.
  • Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding schedules changes service interruptions and relevant movement details.
  • Assist with customer service support for Production Operations Production Partners processing plants live animal buyers veterinarians animal care transport carriers and internal Supply Chain team members.
  • Build foundational knowledge of flow planning marketing schedules transport coordination inventory movement live haul execution and how supply plans customer commitments and production requirements interact.
  • Shadow and support associate-level tasks to develop readiness for future Supply Chain associate roles.
  • Complete additional projects assignments and process support tasks as needed.
  • Participate in after-hours Supply Management & Logistics Emergency Hotline coverage.

Minimum Requirements

Education

Associates Degree required Bachelors Degree preferred

Business Administration Agriculture Supply Chain Operations Accounting or related field

Experience

1 year of administrative supply chain logistics production customer service or data-entry experience preferred

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office programs especially Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Office operations and basic supply chain documentation.
  • Production animal movement and live haul support processes.
  • Basic understanding of Flow Marketing and Transport interactions.
  • Regulatory movement documentation such as Health Certificates and Interstate Agreements.
  • Supply chain processes systems and customer service expectations.

Skilled in:

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organization and time management.
  • Accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Following established processes and standard work.
  • Supporting multiple priorities in a fast-paced multifunctional team environment.

  • Perform duties outside typical work hours when necessary including after-hours hotline coverage.
  • Work independently while staying aligned with defined guidelines and escalation expectations.
  • Work as a member of a team.
  • Develop an understanding of Supply Chain processes and systems.
  • Build working relationships with Supply Chain Production Operations Production Partners carriers packers veterinarians and other internal/external customers.
  • Identify discrepancies exceptions constraints or service interruptions and escalate appropriately.

Compensation:

Targeted pay range of $54000 - $60000 USD annually depending on experience and qualifications.
