The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Base Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our dynamic team in Tukwila Washington.
This position is on the Supply Chain New Business team supporting the E-7 Programs. The work scope will include proposal support management through the Enterprise Standard Gate process review and approval of Priced Bill of Materials Bid Lists and Buy-to Packages and Procurement Planning. Experience working Truth in Negotiations (TINA) regulations is preferred.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leads supplier/subcontractor business relationships in-service requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations
- Manages and monitors supplier quality delivery and financial performance
- Leads the development of mitigations plans to avoid risk and resolve issues impacting customers and programs
- Develops and implements supplier base plans to support customer program and commodity strategies
- Analyzes supplier and business processes and procedures to identify improvement opportunities and incorporate into contracting strategies
- Acts as primary point of contact for suppliers customers and programs
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Shift:
This position is for 1st shift.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (A Bachelors degree is defined as any four-year degree or greater in a Supply Chain Industry field of study)
- More than 5 years of experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance
- More than 5 years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- More than 5 years of experience in program management within supplier management
- More than 5 years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action
- More than 5 years of experience working with Supplier Management Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
- More than 5 years of working with U.S. Department of Defense contracts
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 10 or more years related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor Master etc.) preferred but not required.
