This position will report to the Senior Strategic Sourcing SUMMARYThe Supplier Development Analyst plays a key role in managing and improving supplier performance by ensuring that suppliers meet the established standard for quality cost and delivery. This position will promote excellence in supplier performance through audits and implementation of Lean-focused process improvements. The position will also seek out opportunities to reduce costs and waste with current suppliers while also seeking out new supplier partnerships. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Assess new suppliers capabilities and ensure they meet standards for quality cost and supplier performance and support improvement plans as with suppliers to implement Lean manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement suppliers observe industry standards and supplier process troubleshooting and help them improve their processes and -functional collaboration with internal Technical Quality Manufacturing and Product Management audits of key suppliers facilities to ensure they are following standards and to generate Continuous Improvement opportunities to reduce costs through supplier development and process the introduction of new products by ensuring suppliers are able to meet specifications and with suppliers to demonstrate and maintain capability to meet any quality issues and containment at suppliers to improve duties as degree in Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or related field; or relevant work experience required37 years of experience in Purchasing and/or Supplier DevelopmentStrong understanding of chemistry principles manufacturing processes and quality control methodsFamiliarity with supplier quality management methods and accreditationsAbility to identify issues root causes and implement corrective actions when problem solvingPrior experience with project managementExcellent cross functional and external communication skillsExperience with data analysis negotiation regulatory compliance and Lean processesCOMPETENCIES To perform the job successfully an individual should be aligned with our company values and demonstrate the following competencies:Do Whats RightSafety: Safety is our priority and everyones responsibility.
