The Supply Chain function is essential to Tropicana Brand Groups success by enhancing operational efficiency reducing costs and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. By improving warehouse operations optimizing transportation routes and refining inventory management practices the team plays a critical role in streamlining processes. Collaborating with other departments to align strategies the Supply Chain team ensures that Tropicana meets customer demands while maintaining a high standard of performance and cost-effectiveness. Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

The Transportation Supervisor contributes to the success of Tropicana by managing day-to-day inbound and outbound common carrier transportation for an assigned region. The Transportation Supervisor tenders loads secures spot capacity as needed and works closely with carriers brokers warehouses and production facilities to keep freight moving on time and within budget while using data and reporting to drive service and cost performance. Additional responsibilities include:

• Manage day-to-day inbound and outbound common carrier transportation for the assigned region with a focus on smart P&L decisions

• Tender loads to contracted carriers and secure spot market capacity when needed to cover open or uncovered freight

• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day communication with carriers brokers warehouses and production facilities

• Benchmark freight rates against market data to support carrier negotiations and cost control

• Generate and analyze standard and ad hoc transportation reports and dashboards to track service cost and productivity performance

• Develop effective relationships with internal business partners (i.e. sales logistics plant warehouse etc.)

• Maintain working knowledge of fleet dispatching to effectively cover on-call duties

• Share on-call responsibilities on a rotating basis providing coverage during designated after-hours periods

• Assist in the development of transformational projects that provide for continuous improvement across transportation

• Build and manage relationships with 3rd party carriers including frequent service discussions and QBR service reviews

• Represent transportation on cross-functional calls and meetings as assigned

• Process payment for department expenditures and maintain accurate record keeping of charges

• Manage spot load board for outbound freight

• Facilitate carrier capacity and coverage for local contract manufacturers ensuring empty trailer availability and trailer movement to avoid causing production disruptions.

The Perfect Blend: Experience

• 4 years of transportation industry experience is required including experience with carrier operations dispatch brokerage or vendor management

• A proven track record of cost savings and continuous improvement projects is highly desirable

• Strong communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal and influence management skills for daily interactions with carriers brokers warehouses and production facilities

• Candidate should have a strong customer focus and be results-driven

• Candidate should be able to work both independently and with close direction depending on the size a scope of the project/task and be available to respond during on-call rotating after-hours coverage

• Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data for standard and ad hoc reporting including benchmarking freight rates against market data

Foundational Ingredients: Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Logistics Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be located in Walnut CA surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment.
• Willingness to be onsite daily in the Tropicana manufacturing plant in Walnut CA
