Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Supervises a talent acquisition staff who manage a high volume of full life cycle recruiting for staff vacancies across schools divisions and affiliates; may be focused on regular full time/part time or temporary positions.
  • Provides coaching and ongoing supervision of team members.
  • Leads strategic and tactical talent acquisition services to department and clients.
  • Assesses training needs and coordinates or provides training opportunities for talent acquisition staff.
  • Sources and screens candidates as needed.
  • Partners with HR business partners to attract and screen top applicants throughout the employment process.
  • Determines which applicants are most qualified for specific positions and refers applicants for interviews.
  • Ensures the applicant referral pool has a cross section of diverse candidates; adheres to established equal opportunity and affirmative action goals.
  • Composes employment advertisements and contacts appropriate advertising sources.
  • Ensures that talent acquisition processes policies and the applicant tracking system technology are efficient and effective.
  • Oversees pre-employment processing including reference checking criminal background screening employment and education checks and health assessments (as needed) to ensure university standards are met.
  • Escalates adjudications as necessary.
  • Maintains required records and documentation to ensure OFCCP and DOL EEO compliance.
  • Advises HR business partners of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Leads or participates in special projects as requested.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelors degree in human resources business administration or a related field and four years of employment experience preferably within a staffing/recruiting agency or an in-house human resources talent acquisition function OR an equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • Demonstrated team lead or project management experience.
  • Previous supervisory or direct management experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to extract data from applicant tracking system and manipulate in Excel and PowerPoint.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as neededand at times on short notice. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice toemployee.
