Job Summary
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & People Development
- Supervise lead and mentor hourly production employees to ensure safe efficient and consistent operations.
- Support the Production Manager with training coaching performance assessment and workforce scheduling.
- Foster a positive collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork communication and problemâsolving.
Operational Excellence
- Assist in evaluating production data identifying trends and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prioritize and assign daily workload to meet production goals and customer requirements.
- Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to identify recommend and implement operational enhancements.
Safety Quality & Compliance
- Enforce all company policies safety rules and regulatory requirements including OSHA standards.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and reinforce safe work practices at all times.
- Maintain a clean sanitary and safe work environment.
- Follow and enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety/quality system requirements including SQF standards.
CrossâFunctional Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with supply chain and crossâfunctional teams.
- Partner with other departments to support safety service cost and people objectives across the business unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree required; Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastâpaced highâdemand environment.
- Strong analytical and problemâsolving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience training mentoring and developing employees.
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodology strongly preferred.
- Willingness to work weekends holidays and variable shifts as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Frequent standing walking kneeling reaching climbing pulling and bending with full range of motion.
- Frequent lifting/moving of up to 10 pounds; occasional lifting/moving of more than 60 pounds.
- Work performed in a wet cold or humid environment.
- Occasional exposure to fumes airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals and nut allergens.
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
