Job Summary
The Supervisor of Plant Services for a hospital oversees the maintenance repair and operation of the facilitys physical infrastructure and equipment. Additionally the supervisor coordinates preventative maintenance and responds to urgent facility issues to maintain a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation and Analysis
- Establishes preventive maintenance schedules and prioritizes repair and maintenance work in an effort to minimize disruption of hospital operations and provide efficient and cost-effective maintenance services.
- Collaboration and Partnership
- Assists in planning and overseeing major hospital repairs renovations and new construction in an effort to maintain the hospitals professional appearance. Serves as a liaison between hospital and contractor in order to ensure compliance with job specifications.
- Quality
- Inspects buildings and grounds to ensure that the hospital conforms with established standards and regulations and that the hospitals professional appearance is maintained.
- Selects trains orients and assigns departmental staff members in a manner that ensures efficient departmental operations and complies with relevant regulations governing the employment process. Implements and monitors departmental work schedules and duty assignments and oversees departmental staffing levels.

- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Experience Education Training Special Skills and Licensure :
- 3 years as a supervisor/lead role in maintenance construction area related field
- High School or equivalent
