Job Summary and Responsibilities

As ourSupervisor Pharmacy Operations you will helpthe assigned pharmacy facilityplan supervise and evaluate daily operationsso they canprovide professional effective efficient safe and accurate pharmaceutical care activities and services.

Every day you willensure the provision of professional effective efficient safe and accurate medication distribution practices.You will be expected toplan and evaluate day-to-day operations to meet financial objectives oversee daily workload and staffing levels oversee the workflow of subordinate staff ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures and perform all pharmacist department activities as necessary.

To be successful in this role you mustbe responsible for meeting financial objectives in labor revenue and gross margins evaluating department effectiveness ensuring optimum staffing levels overseeing the workflow of subordinate staff and meeting regulatory requirements and standards.

  • Responsible for the general supervision of the delivery and documentation of pharmaceutical care provided to patients using the medication use process (selecting prescribing dispensing administration and monitoring of medications)
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of pharmacy staff including scheduling annual evaluations orientation counseling interviewing candidates approval of time cards hiring and discipline of employees
  • Provide input on budgetary considerations for their section at budget time. Monitors the income & expenses to compare with the budget as documented by monthly reports
  • Provide input to the pharmacy leadership team on departmental operational financial and human resources issues and initiatives

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy is required. Advanced or Masters degree preferred (e.g. Pharm.D.) .
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Pharmacist in an acute care setting and/or completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program.
  • Pharmacist: AZ (PHARM:AZ)
  • Registered Pharmacist license. Oversight for an acute care facility requires licensure in the state in which you practice.
  • 1 year of supervisory or lead experience or successful completion of a Pharmacy Administrative Residency
