About the role

We are looking for a Supervisor Operations Filter plant/Slag mill to lead a shift within the Filter Plant Slag Mill ensuring safe reliable and efficient production outcomes.

This is a great opportunity for an early-career leader to develop supervisory skills while contributing to operational performance in a complex processing environment.

Reporting to the Superintendent Feed & Slag Operations and working within a collaborative and safety-focused team you will:

• Lead and support a team to achieve safety production and quality targets
• Coordinate daily operations aligning resources and equipment to optimize performance
• Set clear priorities and collaborate with cross-functional partners to maintain workflow continuity
• Monitor performance identify issues and take timely action using established processes
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including Lean and management system activities
• Provide guidance coaching and feedback to support team development

About you

• A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience in a mining or industrial environment.
• Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience and involvement within ore handling environment with mobile equipment
• Leadership Skills: Leadership experience and confidence in leading developing and coaching team members
• Communication and Organization: Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
• Educational Background: Tertiary degree or Trade/Technical diploma in a relevant discipline would be considered an asset and a valid drivers liscense.

Where youll be working

Our Kennecott mine is a world-class fully integrated copper mining operation including a concentrator smelter and refinery located just outside Salt Lake City Utah in the United States. We produce copper precious metals including gold and silver molybdenum and sulfuric acid. Kennecott has been mining and processing minerals from the rich ore body of the Bingham Canyon Mine since 1903 and is one of the top producing mines in the world comprising approximately 11 percent of U.S. annual copper production.
