Supervisor, DC Warehouse

Position Summary

The warehouse supervisor will supervise the activity of warehouse servicers in their daily activities as it relates to receiving storing picking and preparing orders of finished product for shipment to customer.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for productivity and error tracking of all warehouse servicers
• Resolve inventory issues as it relates to accuracy shortages overages damages etc.
• Maintain and ensure high standards of safety throughout the operations
• Able to evaluate anticipate and adjust to service demands
• Maintain proper operational adherence to Companys policies and procedures
• Organize and encourage teamwork to ensure daily shipping requirements are met
• Responsible for the proper routing of fleet truck daily and supervision of the dock area for inbound and outbound trucks
• Must work with LTL Carriers and their loaders; work with parcel shipments and their carrier representatives
• Responsible for generating bills of lading to consolidate orders develop manifests and prioritize loads
• Work on special assignments as they arise

Knowledge Skills & Qualifications

• Computer knowledge-proficient in MS office applications i.e. word excel
• Warehouse management systems experience (i.e. Oracle EBS)
• Experience using forklift equipment
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Detail and process oriented
• Proven ability to operate as a team player
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Proven interpersonal skills to effectively train employees with systems processes and procedures
• A positive professional attitude with the ability to coach lead and mentor staff

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Associate Degree preferred
• 5 years warehousing experience with demonstrated leadership traits

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age

Travel Requirements

• Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Stand and/or walk during shifts for extended periods of time
• Lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend twist reach above the head kneel crouch and/or stretch during shift work hours.
