Job Summary
PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Provide supervision and training of clinical staff to ensure delivery of quality services to the patient.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary and ancillary support staff in the provision of mental health services to patients.
- Providedaily administrative oversight to theteam withtechnicalsupervisionof licensed clinical staff exercised in accordance with scope-of-practice guidelines.
- Provide care coordination as needed to patients to ensure the coordination of care and to facilitate access to needed services.
- Review case records for completeness consistency and quality of services providedincluding application of proper techniques; ensures compliance with state and federal mandates.
- Assist in planning developing and implementing mandatory and discretionary programs in accordance with applicable laws ordinances and regulations by determining type and level of services to be provided; measure of quality-assurance to be employed; andformulating and carrying out policies and procedures.
- Review and assess client treatment plans including short- and long-term goals. Review clinical records to evaluate the necessary level of patient care.
- Complete required paperwork including intake forms progress notes treatment plans and discharge summaries
- Document and maintain client contacts care coordination crisis/consult contacts and community contacts according to ethical standards and organizational protocols.
- Conduct treatment plan review as required.
- Demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Health or related field required. Masters degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
- Three or more years clinical experience in a health or human service agency.
- One or more years working directly with the facility patient population required.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Certification/Licensure as required by state.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
