Job Summary

Overview

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Provide supervision and training of clinical staff to ensure delivery of quality services to the patient.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary and ancillary support staff in the provision of mental health services to patients.
  • Providedaily administrative oversight to theteam withtechnicalsupervisionof licensed clinical staff exercised in accordance with scope-of-practice guidelines.
  • Provide care coordination as needed to patients to ensure the coordination of care and to facilitate access to needed services.
  • Review case records for completeness consistency and quality of services providedincluding application of proper techniques; ensures compliance with state and federal mandates.
  • Assist in planning developing and implementing mandatory and discretionary programs in accordance with applicable laws ordinances and regulations by determining type and level of services to be provided; measure of quality-assurance to be employed; andformulating and carrying out policies and procedures.
  • Review and assess client treatment plans including short- and long-term goals. Review clinical records to evaluate the necessary level of patient care.
  • Complete required paperwork including intake forms progress notes treatment plans and discharge summaries
  • Document and maintain client contacts care coordination crisis/consult contacts and community contacts according to ethical standards and organizational protocols.
  • Conduct treatment plan review as required.
  • Demonstrate a positive empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Health or related field required. Masters degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.
  • Three or more years clinical experience in a health or human service agency.
  • One or more years working directly with the facility patient population required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Certification/Licensure as required by state.
  • CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.
