Our client a growing real estate development and construction company is looking for a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent to join their team in Portland. This is a great opportunity for either an up-and-coming Superintendent with 4 years of multifamily experience or a seasoned Senior Superintendent who is ready to take on larger more complex projects.
This role offers flexibility depending on experience level. A more junior Superintendent may step into a key field leadership role with strong support from the project team while a Senior Superintendent will have the opportunity to lead projects more independently and play a larger role in overall field strategy.
Youll be responsible for managing day-to-day field operations coordinating subcontractors maintaining schedules and ensuring projects are completed safely efficiently and to a high standard of quality.
Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field operations from project start through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors material deliveries and project schedules.
- Maintain daily field reports and monitor construction progress.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager subcontractors inspectors and project stakeholders.
- Perform quality control inspections and resolve field issues.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications safety standards and schedules.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with project teams subcontractors and local officials.
- For senior-level candidates provide broader field leadership mentor junior team members and take ownership of larger or more complex projects.
Superintendent Requirements:
- Experience may range from a developing Superintendent ready for the next step to a Senior Superintendent with deep multifamily project leadership experience.
- 4 years experience as a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent on multifamily construction projects is required.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications and scopes of work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore Microsoft Project or similar construction software is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods scheduling quality control and job site safety.
- Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or GED required.

Compensation: $120K-$180K DOE bonus
