Job Summary
SummaryBalfour Beattyis seeking aSuperintendent in Raleigh. The ideal candidate will be a proven field leader withstrong communication and coordination skills responsible for managing large-scale commercial construction Superintendent leads subcontractors enforces safety and quality standardsmaintainsthe project schedule and ensures all work is performedin accordance withplans specifications and company policies. This role plays a critical part in achieving project goals through proactive planning problem-solving and collaboration while upholding Balfour BeattysZero Harmsafety culture and commitment to FunctionsField Leadership:Manage all field operations and daily site activities; supervise subcontractorsforemen and field staff to ensure safe efficient and quality-driven Management:Establishand lead the site safety team; develop project-specific safety plans conduct hazard analyses and ensure compliance with OSHA and company & Scheduling:Develop andmaintainproject schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager; lead pull planning sessionsidentifymilestones and track progress against critical Control:Implement and oversee the projects Quality Control program; ensure materials workmanship and testingcomply withcontract specifications and Support:Review drawings specifications and budgets for constructability; provide input to estimating teams and preconstruction Oversight:Monitor labor equipment and generalconditionsbudgets; approve subcontractor payment applications and verify cost Coordination:Lead weekly coordination meetings ensure accountability for schedules and performance and oversee subcontractor orientations and Logistics:Develop andmaintainsitelogisticsand temporary facilities plans including hoisting access control and site & Reporting:Conduct progress and safety meetingsmaintaindaily reports and provide clear communication to all project & Turnover:Ensuretimelycompletion of punch lists commissioning activities and project documentation; manage site demobilization and final School Diploma or equivalent. 8 years of commercial construction field leadership experience. Strong understanding of structural MEP and architectural coordination. Proven ability to manage site operations safety and schedules. Excellent communication leadership and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiencywith construction software such as Procore Bluebeam or Primavera ExperienceBachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering orrelatedfield. Experience managing ground-up renovation or adaptive reuse projects. Demonstrated success leading diverse subcontractor teams. OSHA 30 certification and advanced safety training.
