SummaryBalfour Beattyis seeking a Part-Time Superintendent to join the Carolinas division in Charlotte with the National SPG Program. The ideal candidate will be a proven field leader with strong communication and coordination skills responsible for managing all day-to-day construction activities on-siteThe Superintendent leads subcontractors enforces safety and quality standardsmaintainsthe project schedule and ensures all work is performedin accordance withplans specifications and company policies. This role plays a critical part in achieving project goals through proactive planning problem-solving and collaboration while upholding Balfour BeattysZero Harmsafety culture and commitment to FunctionsField Leadership:Manage all field operations and daily site activities; supervise subcontractorsforemen and field staff to ensure safe efficient and quality-driven Management:Establishand lead the site safety team; develop project-specific safety plans conduct hazard analyses and ensure compliance with OSHA and company & Scheduling:Develop andmaintainproject schedules in collaboration with the Project Manager; lead pull planning sessionsidentifymilestones and track progress against critical Control:Implement and oversee the projects Quality Control program; ensure materials workmanship and testingcomply withcontract specifications and Support:Review drawings specifications and budgets for constructability; provide input to estimating teams and preconstruction Oversight:Monitorlabor equipment and generalconditionsbudgets; approve subcontractor payment applications and verify cost Coordination:Lead weekly coordination meetings ensure accountability for schedules and performance and oversee subcontractor orientations and Logistics:Develop andmaintainsitelogisticsand temporary facilitiesplans including hoisting access control and site & Reporting:Conduct progress and safety meetingsmaintaindaily reports and provide clear communication to all project & Turnover:Ensuretimelycompletion of punch lists commissioning activities and project documentation; manage site demobilization and final School Diploma or equivalent.8 years of commercial construction field leadership understanding of structural MEP and architectural ability to manage site operations safety and communication leadership and conflict-resolution construction software such as Procore Bluebeam or Primavera ExperienceBachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering managing ground-up renovation or adaptive reuse success leading diverse subcontractor 30 certification and advanced safety training.
