SummaryBalfour Beatty is seeking an experiencedSuperintendent with a Mission Critical backgroundto join our team in Charlotte. The ideal candidate will be a proven field leader with experience deliveringmission critical construction projectsin complex highly regulated environments where planning coordination safety and quality are essential to project Mission Critical Superintendentis responsible forleading all day-to-day construction activities on-site coordinating subcontractorsmaintainingproject schedules enforcing safety and quality standards and ensuring work is completedin accordance withproject plans and specifications. This role requires exceptional leadership proactive problem-solving and the ability to manage fast-paced projects while upholding Balfour BeattysZero Harmsafety culture and commitment to FunctionsField LeadershipLead all field operations and daily construction activities on mission critical subcontractorsforemen and field personnel to ensure safe efficient and high-quality accountability collaboration and proactive communication across all project ManagementEstablish and lead the site safety programin accordance withBalfour BeattysZero safety planning hazardanalyses and regular site compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety & SchedulingDevelop andmaintainproject schedules in collaboration with the Project pull-planning sessions and monitor milestone achievement throughout schedule risks and implement recovery plans when ControlImplement and oversee the projects Quality Control workcomplies with contract documents project specifications and company quality inspections testing and corrective actions as SupportParticipate in constructability reviews and project drawings and specifications toidentify risks logistical challenges and opportunities for improved estimating and operations teams during project OversightMonitor labor productivity equipment usage and subcontractor progress and support payment application Coordination Lead weekly subcontractor coordination meetings. Maintain accountability for schedule commitments quality expectations and site subcontractor onboarding and field LogisticsDevelop andmaintainsitelogisticsplans including material deliveries access control temporary facilities and site construction activities to minimize operational disruptions where & ReportingMaintain daily reports look-ahead schedules and progress project meetings and providetimelycommunication to owners architects engineers and project & TurnoverManage punchlist completion final inspections project documentation and site a smooth transition through project turnover and owner RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.8 yearsof commercial construction field leadership successfully deliveringmission critical ability to manage field operations subcontractors project schedules and safety leadership communication and organizational construction software such as Procore Bluebeam or Primavera ExperienceBachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering delivering mission critical facilities such asdata centers healthcare facilities detention centers laboratories advanced manufacturing central utility plants or other high-performance success leading large commercial construction 30 certification or equivalent advanced safety training. Experience working on occupied or operational facilities is a plus.
