Golf Course Superintendent
Location: EAGLE BROOK COUNTRY CLUB GENEVA ILLINOIS
Eagle Brook Country Club is seeking a skilled and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to oversee the maintenance and care of our golf course. The ideal candidate will have a passion for golf course management a strong background in turfgrass maintenance and the ability to lead a dedicated team. As the Golf Course Superintendent you will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of our golf course and ensuring an exceptional experience for our members and guests.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and execute effective turfgrass maintenance programs to ensure the health and appearance of the golf course.
- Monitor and manage irrigation systems for optimal water usage and turf health.
- Oversee mowing aerification topdressing and other cultural practices to maintain course conditions.
- Manage and maintain bunkers greens fairways and other course features to meet or exceed established standards.
- Lead train and motivate a team of groundskeeping staff.
- Schedule and coordinate daily tasks to ensure efficient and effective course maintenance.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Assist in the development and management of the annual budget for the golf course maintenance department.
- Monitor expenses and work within budgetary constraints.
- Implement and promote sustainable and environmentally responsible practices on the golf course.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in golf course management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in golf course management or a related field.
- A degree in Turfgrass Management Agronomy or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of turfgrass irrigation systems and golf course equipment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
- Proficient in budget management and cost control.
