Join a well-established Pacific Northwest general contractor and lead the field execution of large-scale civil and infrastructure projects throughout Southeast Alaska.
This role is built for a civil construction leader who understands how to move dirt manage production and coordinate the crews equipment materials and subcontractors to deliver complex work valued at $20 million or more. You will oversee projects involving earthwork grading underground utilities drainage concrete roadwork and related site infrastructure from mobilization through closeout.
As the on-site civil leader you will plan work sequences track quantities and production anticipatesite and weather challenges and keep field operations moving safely and efficiently. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on Superintendent who enjoys solving constructability challenges leading self-perform and subcontracted work and building durable infrastructure in a demanding Alaska environment.
Superintendent Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day field operations for civil sitework and infrastructure construction.
Plan and coordinate earthwork grading utilities drainage concrete roadwork and related scopes.
Direct field crews operators subcontractors equipment utilization material deliveries and site access.
Review civil plans specifications survey information submittals and contract documents for constructability and field execution.
Build short-term work plans and drive production against the project schedule quantities and cost goals.
Enforce safety requirements for heavy equipment underground work traffic control and active civil job sites.
Maintain accurate daily reports manpower and equipment records production tracking and field documentation.
Superintendent Qualifications:
5 years of Superintendent experience in civil site development utility or infrastructure construction with a general contractor.
Experience leading civil projects valued at $20 million or more.
Strong working knowledge of earthwork underground utilities grading drainage concrete civil sequencing and heavy equipment operations.
Strong leadership communication production planning organization and field problem-solving skills.
Associate degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred or equivalent civil construction experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; bilingual skills are a plus.
