Job Summary
Estimated: June - August 2026 ONLY
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:Maintenance and care of District buildings and grounds in a professional manner.
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO:Facilities Director
RESPONSIBLITIES:
. Painting (both interior and exterior)
. Roofing (patching and cleaning)
. Demolition Work (both interior and exterior)
. Irrigation repairs installations setting water
. Weeding (both by hand and with a weed eater)
. Mowing (both push and self-propelled)
. Handyman as needed: electrical plumbing locker and ceiling repairs
. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
. Be on feet for an 8-hour shift
. Climb and descend ladders up to 30 feet
. Lift 100 lbs. occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
. Operate power equipment: hand tools lawnmowers weed eaters etc.
. Perform minor electrical repairs on ballasts switches outlets etc and
make minor repair to waterlines and plumbing
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting (able to lift 50 pounds and assist in lifting over 50 pounds) carrying pushing and/or pulling; some stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 34% sitting 33% walking and 33% standing. The job related is performed under a generally hazard-free environment and in a clean atmosphere
Bilingual Preferred
Recent High School Graduates or College Students Preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma and/or specialized training
Experience: Previous experience in building and ground maintenance
Personal Qualities: Ability to work with fellow staff members and supervisors.
Ability to complete work in a professional and timely fashion.
