Stevens Institute of Technology a leading national research universitylocatedin Hoboken NJ seeks three innovative and organized Hall Directors for the Office ofUndergraduate Admissions andPre-College Programs. Reporting to the Pre-College Professional staff the Hall Directors willbe responsible forproviding a safe and engagingon-campusliving experience for700 high school students attending the Pre-College addition the Hall Directors will also oversee approximately 30 Student Staff members.
This is a seasonal position fromJuneJuly.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Hall Director positions are live-in positions in co-educational residential communities managing evening and overnight supervision of student staff and participants.
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Accommodations
You will be assigned to a residence hall on Stevens campus
Access to community bathrooms or private bathrooms
Access to a community kitchen and refrigerator
You will have one (1) vacation day for the summer that you may use Monday-Friday
$125 duck bills a week (to be used on meals or the bookstore)
Requirements
Bachelors degree and (Pursuing masters preferred)
1-2 years of experience within Pre-College Residence Life or related field
Availability to work evenings and weekends
Must live on campus for the duration of employment
Must not have anyadditionaljobs or classes during the length of employment
Willparticipatein anon callduty rotation with two fellow HDs
Approximately 40-50hoursper week.

July 5- July31(Summer Programs running)
Essential Functions
Become knowledgeable of our summer programs andassistwith answering phone calls and inquiries while in the office
Manage the summer email account
Uphold the highest level of customer service when working with participants families staff and faculty
Maintain excellent communication between allpre-collegestaff and be able to communicate effectivelytofellow student staff members
Supervise all Student Staff Members
Ability to relate effectively with students
Managing evening and overnight supervision of participants
On-call duty management
Staff supervision and training individual and group advisement
Development of campus activities & Social Programming
Facilitating thecheck in/check outprocess and facility management.
Evaluate Student Staff Wall Decs/ Door Decs/ Schedule
On Call - Rotating between HD staff each week
Manage the roommate pairing
Schedule and coordinate with students arriving at the program via plane.
Act as the main point of contact for student staff in cases of emergency
Attend Weekly meetings with fellow Hall Directors Pro-Staff and all-staff
Supervise and chaperone off-campus trips and activities
Help with pick-up andlogisticsfor partner students
Work with student staff to plan engaging evening campus events for all program participants
Be an essential part of training for all student staff
Other duties as assigned

In compliance with the New Jersey Wage Transparency Act the semi-monthly base range for this position is $8000- $8500. This range represents the Universitys good faith estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Stevens Institute of Technology determines compensation based on factors including the positions scope and responsibilities the candidates experience education skills internal equity market data and organizational considerations. The final salary will be set considering departmental budget qualifications and relevant credentials. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes additional forms of compensation such as incentives stipends or other applicable pay components.
