Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position):

The Buntrock Commons Student Building Assistant serves as a first-impression role for visitors students staff and guests. This position supports the mission and goals of the Division of Student Life and the College.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the Information Desk transportation information and a good working knowledge of current and upcoming campus events.

  • Give campus directions welcome guests to the college.

  • Uphold strong customer service standard for dress greetings phone calls vehicles procedure and expedient customer response.

  • Support emergency response processes as needed.

  • Participate in student employee staff meetings and programs.

  • Lock and unlock rooms in Buntrock Commons as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)

  • Possess excellent customer service skills as well as a general understanding of the operation of Buntrock Commons and the College.

  • Attention to details desire to learn about student life the Commons and daily operations.

  • Willingness to learn technological skills needed for the role.

  • Willingness to wear uniform provided during shift.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

This position requires grasping/handling pushing/pulling and lifting and carrying objects up to 20 lbs. to perform the essential functions. It also requires exposure to loud noise to perform the essential functions. Candidates must possess the ability to safely perform the physical work required of all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
