JOB DESCRIPTION: Summer Academy Student Worker

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School Student
2. Work well with others

REPORTS TO: Summer Academy Director

JOB GOALS: To provide high quality support for the classroom student(s); and to support the Mission Statement of the Estill County School System.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITES:

1. To help students with assignments inSummer Academy classes.
2. Provide students with vocabulary activities to strengthen students vocabulary to increase academic skills across settings.
3. Tutor individuals or small groups of students reinforce and implement instruction as directed by the teacher; maintains records of student progress.
4. Assists in overseeing students while in labs or other instructional areas.
5. Assures the health and safety of students by following health and safety practices and regulations.
6. Assists students by providing proper examples emotional support a friendly attitude and general guidance.
7. Maintains confidentiality of students and/or staff.
8. Performs duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Hourly wage pursuant to district salary schedules.
