Summer 2027 Underwriting Operations Internship

As an Underwriting Operations intern you are the backbone of the underwriting process and aid as the Underwriters business partner. You are intuitive and can interpret the needs within your team and external clients as you succeed in prioritizing and executing your responsibilities. You will learn the underwriting process and use this knowledge to propose out of the box recommendations within your team. You are a competent communicator who enjoys working with others to create a top of the line finished product.

Responsibilities:

• Computes and rates premium for new renewal and/or endorsement business.
• Delivers initial pricing to your Underwriting partner.
• Interacts directly with underwriters to assist in underwriting analysis and documentation.
• Services accounts including resolving agents inquiries complaints and requests.
• Performs policy processing activities.
• Performs applicable procedures to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Orders and obtains various reports such as MVR D&B etc.

Qualifications:

• Eligible candidates MUST be rising juniors with a targeted graduation date of May 2028 (or 2029 graduates will not be eligible).
• Students must currently be in pursuit of their Bachelors Degree in business finance or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to multi-task and deliver to deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt style and messaging toeffectively communicate with professionals at all levels.
• Ability to learn quickly make an immediate impact and provide value-added services to theCompany.

Important Notes:

• Coactions internship program does NOT offer remote work. Our internship roles are 5 days a week in our Morristown office.

• Candidates must live local to the Morristown NJ area as we do not provide relocation assistance and require in office attendance.Our internship program will take place Summer 2027 from June-August.
