Anticipated Salary Range: $22.00 - $28.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the roles location expectations and responsibilities. When extending an offer Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration which include but are not limited to the roles function internal equity and a candidates education or training work experience certifications and key skills. Occasionally positions/roles may include additional non-recurrent compensation and will be addressed by the recruiter during the interview process.

Will be provided support and guidance on a regular basis but will be challenged and will need to learn quickly. The ideal candidate will enter their senior year or final semester of college after the summer 2027 internship. Work will be performed in a hybrid environment with some on-site work with our talented team.

- Code back-end services or front-end interfaces.
- Support development of modern and responsive UI for the web.
- Iterating rapidly with our development team.
- Integration across technologies and applications application development user interface development and system testing.
- Experience with Next-Gen Coding Agents: Practical history of integrating advanced AI agents specifically Claude Code or Googles Antigravity / Gemini agentic workflows into your daily software engineering routine.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance before internship start date; U.S. Citizenship required.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and be working towards a Bachelors degree in a relevant field (i.e. Computer Science) with more than 60% of the required credits completed.
- Must have programming experience with some of the following tools/technologies: Java Kotlin Python Modern JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. Angular React) JavaScript Node and/or CSS.
- Knowledge of databases query processing and SQL.
- Must have a strong working knowledge and experience in RESTful web services.
- Must have an inquisitive nature responsiveness and excellent attention to detail.
- Must also possess strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience developing software using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git Nexus Maven).
- Understanding of software design best practices and standards.
- Understanding of the agile software lifecycle.
- Has the ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Greenville SC office. Flexibility is essential to adapt to schedule changes as needed.
- Knowledge of cloud based technologies (AWS Azure).
- Experience with the Linux operating system.
- A current security clearance is a plus.
