JOB SUMMARYHealthRIGHT 360 a nonprofit organization and a family of programs is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to tackle systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity for all. We offer a wide range of services includingmental health care residential and outpatient substance use treatment and primary health we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health fostering resilience and County Serenity House (NCSH) a residential program of HealthRIGHT 360 was founded in 1966 to provide substance use disorder services in the community. NCSH provides a gender-responsive and trauma-informed environment using evidence-based and best practices that recognize and account for the role that trauma frequently plays in substance use and criminal histories of women. For clients with co-occurring mental illness we provide integrated substance use and mental health services which treatboth conditions as primary. Our residential facility serves up to 120 women (with capacity for up to 20 children under 5 years of age) seeking recovery from substance use SUD Supervisor I leads and supervises a team of professionals to ensure the delivery of quality client care. This role contributes to maintaining a positive and supportive environment for our clients and ensures that staff meet the organizations goals in alignment with HealthRIGHT 360s philosophy missionvalues policies and objectives. The SUD Supervisor I is responsible for overseeing client care which includes staff scheduling managing relationships with outside agencies and performing other assigned tasks. Additionally the role supports daily activities essential to incorporating the organizations mission and values into our service RESPONSIBILITIESPeople Supervision Supervise train and guide direct service staff such as SUD Counselors and Client SafetyNavigators and/or assigned. Assist management with interviews selection hires and terminations. Ensure that all direct reports are in compliance with the organizations policies proceduresposition expectations and performance goals and contractual requirements. Provide ongoing feedback coaching support and conduct formal performance evaluations in atimely manner. Deliver and arrange training and resources to ensure that direct reports are successful in theirroles. Ensure proper coverage of the program by managing work schedules and approving time awayfrom work. Deliver all communications necessary to all team members to remain current with HealthRIGHT360s policies and procedures and to inform them of quality-of-care concerns. Maintain open communication with the manager concerning employee matters/needs clientassignment workload distribution across the team and seek consultation when needed. Address interpersonal or team conflicts promptly and diplomatically to maintain a positive workenvironment. Lead weekly staff meetings to discuss program updates issues policies and Oversight Ensure that overnight staff remain alert and awake at the entire overnight shift. Assign clients to staffs caseload. Ensure that all treatment service plans and activities are executed in keeping with theorganizations values mission vision and strategy. Facilitate and assist with client case conferences as applicable. Ensure that staff provide strengths-based trauma-informed and culturally competent services inan ethical and legal manner. Ensure safety and security of the program and mediate client grievances. Respond to emergencies outstanding crisis or events as needed including during holidaysweekends and afterhours. Ensure that all direct reports submit documentation in accordance with program requirementsand in compliance with all regulatory requirements and agencys policies and procedures. Thisincludes timeliness of documentation with progress notes being completed no later than thefollowing business day assessments treatment plans and discharges occurring on time. Perform regular audits to ensure contract Service Provide services within the scope of practice which may include crisis intervention assessmentsindividual and group counseling case conferences educational groups and treatment plans asassigned. Assume ownership for any crisis as it relates to service delivery and see it through to completion. Maintain documentation of services provided in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360s policies andprocedures to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements. Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all clients in the facility during overnight hours. Safely and efficiently transport clients to designated locations during emergency situations and and Other Duties Work different shifts to maintain knowledge of all aspects of the program. Develop and maintain training-related workflows and procedures. Actively participate in assigned supervision agency and team meetings. Participate in training opportunities and complete assigned training in a timely manner. Maintain compliance with credential perform other duties as Certification Licensure Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred. Option I:o Registration as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor from an accredited California agency(CCAPP CAADE CADTP).o At least 1 years experience providing supervision to direct service providers preferablyin a non-profit organization or comparable agencies with similar client populations. Option II:o Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor from an accredited California agency(CCAPP CAADE CADTP). Experience with efficient and effective treatment and management of clients with co-occurringdisorders. Experience providing trauma-informed services. Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Valid California Drivers License and access to registered and insured transportation
