JOB SUMMARYHealthRIGHT 360 a nonprofit organization and a family of programs is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to tackle systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity for all. We offer a wide range of services including mental health care residential and outpatient substance use treatment and primary health services. Additionally we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health fostering resilience and facilitating WRA residential services are provided in a social model treatment milieu which consists of the treatment community the larger 12 step community and other recovery support groups. It is peer-based and guided by the belief that recovery doesnt happen in isolation. Our peer mentorship program allows new clients to be welcomed into the WRA community in a supportive and meaningful SUD Counselor is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team that supports our clients through the assessment of their needs and strengths in support of their health and recovery. SUD Counselor I will perform counseling in individual and group setting deliver curricula in accordance with program-specific requirements and case management and assist clients in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive treatment RESPONSIBILITIESFacilitate group counseling sessions community meetings and teach classes on various treatment-related topics to assist clients in meeting their treatment crisis intervention and communicate with treatment team as unforeseen situations document all group counseling sessions and all individual sessions as needed within 24-72 hours per contract meet residential service delivery goal of 60%.Proactively link clients to both internal and external resources based on their treatment up on the progress or status of clients client updates and incidents safety and security of the clients in the facility by performing periodic house client medications are securely stored and properly accounted for as and document client administration of client duties and sign off upon needed accompany clients to offsite appointments related to their with client and other internal and external resources to develop or maintain problem lists and/or treatment plans transition plans progress notes and appropriate updates in support of their health and discharge paperwork/process and other required agency assessments in a timely intake process such as preparing rooms and maintaining property and room searches as to overdose and other medical tests for substance use such as urinalysis and clients every 30 minutes and document on observation log per program clean or dispose of biohazard and clean rooms and common areas as enter data in various electronic systems for all clients in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating and respond to emails calls and Teams messages in a timely assigned training as needed and as required by the due and actively participate in and facilitate celebrations and special on weekends and holidays as perform other duties as Certification LicensureHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in health and human services social work psychology or other related field be registered as an Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor or as an SUD Counselor with CA approved certifying agency (CCAPP CADTP or CAADE).Current First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
