Job Summary
JOB SUMMARYHealthRIGHT 360 a nonprofit organization and a family of programs is committed to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to tackle systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity for all. We offer a wide range of services including mental health care residential and outpatient substance use treatment and primary health services. Additionally we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health fostering resilience and facilitating Prototypes Womens Center in Oxnard offers residential substance abuse treatment and detox services tailored specifically for women including those who wish to involve their children in their journey to recovery. Our program in Ventura County aims to assist women in maintaining their progress in overcoming co-occurring disorders through a wide range of supportive services. Children can foster a secure attachment with their mothers in a secure setting while also accessing mental health support and educational assistance. The facility can accommodate up to 56 women and 28 children for SUD Counselor I is an integral part of an interdisciplinary team that supports our clients through assessment of their needs and strengths in support of their health and recovery. SUD Counselor I will perform in-person counseling in individual and group settings deliver curricula in accordance with program specific requirements and case management and assist clients in navigating systems of care while providing a supportive treatment environment. Services are delivered flexibly in outpatient offices residential facilities or in the community depending on client needs and program requirements. Therefore reliable transportation is RESPONSIBILITIESTreatment SettingFacilitate group counseling sessions and community link clients to both internal and external resources based on their treatment classes on treatment-related topics to assist clients in meeting their treatment with each client and other available internal and external resources to develop/maintain treatment plans transition plans progress notes and appropriate updates in support of the health and recovery needs of the crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment up on clients treatment and document client medication secure storage and proper accounting of client clients to offsite appointments as client duties and sign off upon clients to fulfill their weekly intake process and maintain clean or dispose of biohazard and clean rooms and common and SecurityMaintain safety and security of clients in the periodic house property and room to medical emergencies including substance use tests such as urinalysis and clients and maintain observation group and individual counseling sessions in a timely manner per program and/or contract enter data in electronic client updates and incidents and maintain all documentation in accordance with guidelines established by HealthRIGHT 360 to satisfy internal and external evaluating discharge paperwork and agency weekly logs of client and respond to communications in a timely and Other ResponsibilitiesAttend meetings and actively residential service delivery and facilitate celebrations and special on weekends and holidays as assigned training on full compliance with credential perform other assigned Certification or LicensureHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in Health and Human Services Social Work Psychology or other related field as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor from an accredited California agency (CCAPP CAADE CADTP).Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of California Drivers License and access to registered and insured in the human service field and demonstrated expertise in substance abuse treatment relapse prevention and recovery preferred.
