Substitute Teacher/Aide

Qualifications:

1. Must hold a valid Alabama Teachers Certificate

or

1. Must hold a valid Alabama Substitute Teachers License (Once you have applied we will start your application at the state level. You will be notified to login to your AIM account and complete your section with payment ($38.00). You have 30 days to complete this before it expires).

Background CheckRequired:(Ala. Code 16-22A-5 ) Upon offer of employment employees will be required to submit legible fingerprints for a background review by the Alabama Bureau of Investigation and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Background checks must not be more than ten (10) years old.

Essential Functions:

1. Perform as a substitute teacher
2. Review and maintain availability within the Absent Management Platform. Accept or decline substitute teaching assignments within the management platform.
3. Follow and implement lesson plans of absent teachers to ensure instructional continuity
4. Assume all classroom duties including taking attendance overseeing students and adhering to classroom schedules.
5. Oversee students in various settings including classroom hallway cafeteria and other supervisory duties as assigned.
6. Maintain proper learning environment in classroom
7. Ensure instructional activities are carried out
8. Exhibit positive personal relations skills
9. Maintain confidentiality and exhibit professionalism.
